The purpose of our Youth Ministry is to continue to develop a strong foundation in Christ in the lives of the teens, help the youth to understand and interpret the Bible, help the youth effectively reach their friends for Christ, and incorporate the youth into the life of the church through:
1. Weekly Meetings
Small groups that will provide our teens with a desire to have an intimate quiet time with God (SH). Senior high small groups meet every other week throughout the school year. Jr. High small groups will be incorporated throughout our normal Wed night meetings. Large group meetings; Tuesday for SH and Wednesday for JH. Biblical teaching on Sunday mornings (SH). Teaching will focus on Biblical truth with relevant application and one-on-one teaching moments accomplished through our contact ministry.
2. Special Activities
Monthly activities are designed to encourage the youth to bring their friends
and share their faith; to integrate the youth into the body of the church; to
involve youth in service activities that help them reach out to others in our
neighboring communities or build relationships with ministries we support.

Youth Mission Statement:
The youth ministry here at Western Springs Baptist exists to reach teens with the gospel of Jesus Christ and help them develop a mature faith in Him. While the primary responsibility falls Biblically on the parents for spiritual maturation we also realize we as a church have an important role. We desire to partner with parents and help in any way possible to accomplish this goal. Our purpose is to provide sound Biblical teaching that radically changes the lives of our teens for the purpose of following Christ and winning others to Him. We desire to help our teens experience fellowship with other believers, and to be challenged in their walk with Christ to serve others by reaching out in cross cultural settings.
