We’re taking our Kids’ Sunday School on a Global Mission Adventure

February 5 - March 11

Grades 1-6 together in Room 203

Grades 7-8 in Room 100

9:50 – 10:45 a.m.

For six weeks, during Sunday School, our children will meet new friends from a distant part of the world and learn about their lives and beliefs.  They will discover that it is God's desire for all people to know and worship him.

They will learn about the 10/40 Window, a term used to describe a part of the world that extends from a latitude of 10 to 40 degrees north of the equator.  Within this rectangular "window" are North Africa, the Middle East, India, Asia, and some parts of the former Soviet Union.  This region of the world is crowded with two-thirds of the world's population.  There are some Christians in every country of the 10/40 Window, but most people follow other religions.  Children will learn the THUMB acronym as a way to remember the major non-Christian religious beliefs found in the 10/40 Window.  "T" is for "Tribal," "H" is for "Hindu," "U" is for "Unreligious" or atheist, and "M" is for "Muslim," and "B" is for "Buddhist."

Each week, children will see DVD segments about the 10/40 Window, THUMB, and people groups within the 10/40 Window region.  All the children will also participate in cultural activities, sing songs and will be praying for THUMB peoples in small groups.  Our plan is to captivate the interest and imagination of our kids, encouraging them to discover how God can use them in his plans to reach the nations with the gospel.

We encourage the congregation to join the children in praying for the unreached people groups of the 10/40 Window.
