Bible Study-“Renewed on the Run”
Bible studies are designed to help each woman grow in her faith through biblical study, small groups, prayer, fellowship and relationship. Fall kickoff is on January 8 – May 20. Most groups are open to new members and welcome drop in guests.
Tuesday Mornings: (9:00-11:00am) After God’s Heart: How will you love and obey a God you can’t see, hear, or touch? You could start by taking a look at 1 & 2 Samuel. This conversational study offers an in-depth look at God in action and at people – Hannah, Samuel, David, Jonathan - who came to know God and grew in faith by applying their knowledge of Him to their daily circumstances. Along with lesson preparation and shared leadership, this group stresses open dialogue and prayer among members. This group is limited to 15 members, so please call Lynn Anne Gantt (246.1530 x. 23) to reserve your space.
Genesis: If you are new to Bible study, with little or no previous experience, you can join a small group continuing to explore the first book of God’s revelation to man. The events that unfold in this extraordinary book give form to the entire Bible and, through the stories of a chosen family, focus on man’s relationship with a loving, faithful God. Matthew: With its emphasis on the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies, Matthew’s Gospel forms a natural bridge between the Old and New Testaments. From the visit of the Magi at the beginning to the Great Commission at the conclusion of this Gospel, we learn that Jesus is indeed the promised Messiah, come to redeem His people. Using the LifeChange study series, this group will explore the historical context, purpose, structure and meaning of Matthew through lesson preparation, teaching and discussion. Tuesday Evenings: (6:45-8:30pm) Tuesday Evening Ladies Bible Study will begin their spring session on March 4 from 7-8:30 pm in the Fireside Room. The Power of a Praying Woman by Stormie Omartian will be the video curriculum. Stormie Omartian's bestselling books have helped hundreds of thousands of individuals pray more effectively for their spouses, their children, and their nation. Now she has written a book on a subject she knows intimately: being a praying woman. Stormie's deep knowledge of Scripture and candid examples from her own prayer life provide guidance for women who seek to... trust God with deep longings, not just pressing needs cover every area of life with prayer maintain a right heart before God Each segment concludes with a prayer women can follow or use as a model for their own prayers. Women of all ages will find hope and purpose for their lives with The Power of a Praying Woman. This is a ten-week session and each session has five daily assignments. The workbook for the video curriculum is $12and will be available at the first session. Thursday Mornings: (9-11am) is a lively group with varied leadership which meets in the library. We conduct a weekly study of a book in the Bible. Leadership is shared and new members are welcome at any time. Childcare is not available.
Titus Tables Women of all ages and walks of life are invited to be a part of these special evenings that will inspire growth in new relationships and draw you to Jesus in a more intimate way through fellowship, service, and fun. Watch for upcoming event dates on the Calendar page.
Christmas Traditions
Every year, women of every generations join together to celebrate the tradition of Christ in a special way. This year we will gather on December 17th at 7:00pm. You do not want to miss it! Christmas Traditions Worship and Celebration of Light Service on Monday night at 7:00 pm in the Fireside Room. The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep darkness, a light will shine. Isaiah 9:2 |
